Resources to help Canadians learn about Personal Finances
Hi! I’m Liz and I’m a self-taught investor.
In 2009, I was working full-time to pay for my university tuition. I was living paycheck to paycheck while aggressively saving. By teaching myself money principles, I graduated debt-free and focused my energy on investing. To learn about the stock market, I listened to money podcasts at work and when I got home, I read personal finance books and blogs.
I became obsessed with learning how to optimize my finances and by age 24, I had saved over $50,000. By age 29, my networth was over $350,000.
All of my money comes from working multiple jobs and starting my own business; no inheritance or get rich quick schemes.
These are some of the resources I used to learn, and a few others I recommend depending on where you are in your personal finance journey.
